What has Erin been up to since graduation? Try chasing two kids, designing a more beautiful world & competing in just about anything outdoors for starters. It’s been a busy couple of decades for her!

Get to know Erin again.

Name some of the the places where you have lived.

I have been living in the Washington, DC area since college.

Would you like to share a bit about your family? Kids, fur babies, significant other, etc. What do they do that makes you proud?

I met my husband Jeremy the first week of college and we ended up getting married almost 10 years later at Conneaut Lake. We have two crazy daughters, Ella (5) and Charlotte (2). Ella started kindergarten this year and enjoys dancing and skiing. Charlotte is a little comedian who keeps us laughing every day

Did you go to college? Where did you go? What did you study?

I went to American University in DC. I had originally planned on a broadcast journalism career but switched it up halfway and ended up with a degree in Visual Media.

What have you been up to since graduation/the last reunion?

For the most part, I’ve been a graphic designer since graduating college. I have worked for a bunch of different companies, organizations and non-profits including E*TRADE, AARP and most recently Sprint– where I’m in charge of designing their website and apps. I’ve also owned my own design firm, been a stay-at-home mom, and a photographer. I spent many years as a content creator and social influencer for Pinterest where I was responsible for creating content for a variety of clients including Mattel, Nabisco and Disney.

Share a fun fact about yourself. Maybe something we wouldn't know about you.

I really enjoy being outside enjoying nature as much as possible. It literally kills me when I have to sit at a desk all day. I’m pretty competitive when it comes to sports and have competed in mountain bike races, soccer leagues and have run the Marine Corps marathon as well as a bunch of half-marathons. Before kids, you’d find me hiking and camping every weekend in Shenandoah National Park and every year we take a trip out west to ski.

When you have some spare time, what is your favorite thing to do?

Spare time. What’s that?! When I’m not chasing kids around I love to grab brunch with friends, go for a run, visit local wineries, travel and work on my photography.

What is your fondest memory of Meadville and/or high school?

Camp outs at Woodcock, bonfires, skiing at Peek-n Peak, going out on Conneaut Lake, watching “Friends” with...friends and literally just driving around the back roads of Meadville on a Friday night with people. In general I have this romanticized nostalgia for Meadville and all the good times I experienced there as a kid. After high school I just couldn’t wait to get out of there, but as I’ve gotten older and had my own family, I’ve come to appreciate all the awesome things that a small town has to offer. I really wish I could get up there more often.

What was your favorite class? Who was your favorite teacher? Why?

I loved all art classes for obvious reasons. But I also really enjoyed my AP Bio class senior year. If I didn’t have an art career I would enjoy doing something in the Bio or Medical field. Talk about opposite ends of the spectrum right? I also really liked gym, is that weird? I mean, I would die to play badminton or do archery during the day as an adult. I really disliked any and all math classes, and to this day I still get anxious just thinking about them

School lunch - Did you pack or buy? If you bought lunch, what was your favorite menu item?

Pack. I would buy on Fiestada days though. Man, I LOVED those things.

If you could pick anything, what would you do when you retire?

I would love to be a florist! I would also travel anywhere and everywhere. I have this bucket list of travel experiences I would love to tackle including hiking to Mt. Everest Base Camp, skiing in Japan and visiting every National Park in the US. How soon is retirement?!

Give us your top three songs from high school.

  1. Snoop Dogg: Gin and Juice

  2. Gangsta’s Paradise: Coolio

  3. Just a Girl: No Doubt
